bernard is live in napa. a dramatic water rescue on napa river. >> much of wine country is still drying out after the storm, but the napa river as you can see here is still high, swollen with rain. we arrived moments after a man wound up in the river right underneath the third street bridge. >> a man flailing, fighting to stay afloat in the middle of the napa river. crowds on the bank watched the drama unfold. >> they were there really quick. >> we needed to get him out real quick. we got a good throw on the rope. >> the victim was pulled ashore. a ladder was brought in and the man was pulled to safety. there was no time to waste. in sonoma county, high water is still a big issue. intersection of 12 and 121 was underwater when sonoma creek overflowed its banks. today the water is still spilling into nearby vineyards. >> it looks like the ocean is out there right now. only nice thing is all the vines are dormant so there is no harm. >> dozens of roads are still flooded. george lives near sonoma creek and he is frustrated. >> every year there is more water in the creek and less creek to c

valleys of the north bay and east bay where low temperatures will drop into the 30s up at napa. santa rosa and fairfield and livermore and concord. low 40s more for most other parts. here at frontal system bringing our next bout of stormy weather. we'll start our forecast animation, 7:00 at which point it will be cloudy and no rain has expected to arrive. but by 11:00 tomorrow morning, rain developing in northern sonoma county pushing down santa rosa. then steadier rain around the north bay, beginning to push south of golden gate and by 5:00 tomorrow afternoon, widespread rainfall across most of bay area with moderate to heavy rain in many areas. showers will trail into wednesday. by 7:00 wednesday evening we'll be looking at mainly dry conditions but we will have received quite a bit of rainfall by then. totals up to 2 inches in the north bay mountains. inch and a half in the north bay. 1.2 inches in the east bay. half in peninsula and two inches in santa cruz mountains. over in the sierra, winter storm watch is in effect, four to eight inches above 4,000 feet. back here in the bay area,

forget the wedding in napa and abbey on the stage and raid yent in the dress and serenaded milton with "our love is here to stay". after the boys arrived i remember visiting their house and crawling around with them on their floor. i never seen milton so happy. i will always remember milton's wicked laugh and sense of humor and his bed rock decency and what made him unique though was his sense of connectedness and his concern for family and friends and everyone he met. even when he was sick this last year and sick with his tumor he looked past those concerns to the people he loved. at the 30th are -- are you union where i joined him and talked with a classmate about health and said he was going to do everything he could to get better because his sons needed to grow up with their father. even in these last difficult months him and abbey were determined to create has many family experiences as they could, so although milton isn't physically with us anymore he's still here with his friends and contributions he made to san francisco and every other community where he lived, and

in napa, 38 in the santa rosa area, 37. the valley fog is tonight just because the grounds are wet there's high clouds overhead but the humid tis are high, relative humiditys are high so good shot at valley fog. i know everybody is out driving around so be prepared for dense patches of valley fog. and you know where they are especially in the north bay or east bay especially in the south bay. if it's typically there in the wintertime, it'll be there tonight. so today will turn out to be a drier day. as we head into tomorrow afternoon showers show up. it's a nice-looking system. it doesn't appear to be huge. it doesn't appear to have a lot of potential for floogd rains, but a quarter of an inch to half inch for most of us. some areas could see afrnl and if you get into coastal, could see a couple inches. so i said this earlier in the news cast on channel 2 at 5:00 and 6:00, the ground saturate. so it happen to rain could give you some slippage up on skyline boulevard so we'll be watching it for you. here's the forecast for tomorrow morning. your christmas morning is try and cloudy. the sh
